Grammy Awards 2021

The Grammy Awards telecast will take center stage in the upcoming year, January 31, 2021. However, we are still here in 2020 with the ravaging of COVID-19. Furthermore, the quest for a new vaccine from Pfizer will undoubtedly be ready for a fresh new start of the year; above all, what better way to get back in gear than through our love of music.

Grammy Glory

The Grammy Awards will kick-off amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The illustrious Award Show will seemingly have a progressive post COVID preparation. For instance, the thought in all our hearts and minds remembers a year plagued with loss and devastation. Music remains a high source of vibrancy. Music has the power to spring forth the idea and mighty words of another Grammy-winning tune, “Alright,” from Kendrick Lamar.

Grammy Controversy

The Grammy Awards must offer our hearts a reminder in reflection. A year cradled with despair. In addition, a mighty music child is awaiting to tie the knot of comfort to destroy the pain of shock.

This year’s nominations bring many artists to the forefront who is no stranger to the big “G” Award. Similarly, a look of new faces brings a breathtaking aura to the Grammy scene. The Host of next year’s show is also new to the platform. Trevor Noah will take the reign, which evidently was not the Recording Academy’s first choice. A female was to helm the show, yes, another notable comedian, Tiffany Haddish.

Now I happen to love them both, but Ms. Haddish dropped out of the gig after what she deemed improper treatment. In an interview with “Variety,” “She was refused pay for hair, make-up, and other amenities needed to perform duties and make the big night a surefire hit.” Tiffany Haddish is someone I look up to as an up and coming Comedian myself. What she has shown raises the bar for others to follow. She does have a Grammy in her arsenal, and they were trying to have her work with no nice trinkets. What a slap in the face to my sister! “More power to you, Tiffany Haddish, for setting an example to pay a Host”  Trevor Noah, congrats, and I know you will be amazing.

The nominations

In conclusion, Beyonce Knowles-Carter (Queen Bey) or Grammy Oueen has (9) nominations for her “Black Parade” project, and she is sure to top off the night as a winner. Taylor Swift, the new most awarded artist, has (6) nominations. Post Malone, Roddy Rich, and Drake are in the Rap Category; let’s not forget Megan thee Stallion glowing as femme fetale in the Rap world with her first nomination. Many other artists in the R&B, Country, Dance, Jazz, and others we applaud all those nominated. Check out the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards airing on January 31st on the CBS network.
